About me

Art, ideas & curiosity
shaping my visual world

I’m Maria, an architecture graduate and visual creative with a passion for turning ideas into visuals. My creative journey moves between art, design, architecture, motion and AI. I love exploring different mediums and finding unexpected connections between them.

I’m naturally curious and always looking for something new to learn, experiment with, or create. I don’t see creativity as something that has to fit into one category. For me, it’s about exploring, evolving and finding my own visual language.

I’m still exploring. And that’s part of the process.

I don’t want to create just one thing.
I want to explore how many ways I can create.

My graduation project

Rebloom

Concept collage: the original Ministry tower in 1984 growing into the 2030 twin towers, with the Nile drawn in blue and lotus-shaped arches
Render of a giant glossy orange teddy bear statue holding a lotus flower in a courtyard between arched buildings at dusk

A 5-star hotel and mixed-use development created through the adaptive reuse of the former Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Maspero, Cairo.

My vision

The concept started with the idea of transformation: how something old can grow into something new without losing its history.

Nature became the language of this transformation, inspired by growth, flowers, trees and water.

The project was designed as a journey from the old to the new, creating moments of discovery throughout the space.

The story

Behind Rebloom

The orange teddy bear statue holding a lotus flower

Designed as a visual extension of the concept, the teddy bear became a playful landmark

Natural
movement

  • Render of the arched podium with a planted roof terrace
  • Aerial render of a roof garden with curving paths, trees and orange benches
  • Render of people walking through a plaza with glass façades and planters
  • Street-level render of the arched podium and glass towers behind

Shaping the space

Organic lines, flowing paths and greenery come together to create a natural, continuous experience.

Story telling

I developed a character as part of the project’s visual storytelling, giving the concept a more human and playful identity.

The character became a visual guide through the REBLOOM experience, connecting the different scenes and making the story easier to feel and remember.

Acupuncture of hope

Injecting life into the dying veins of the city.

A vision of healing, where architecture becomes the needle and nature the cure.

  1. 01. The main concept

    • An architectural injection treats the polluted city.
    • It symbolizes healing, renewal, and hope.
    • Nature becomes the cure for urban neglect.
  2. 02. The child & the dream

    • The child represents innocence and hope.
    • His recycled glasses symbolize creativity from scarcity.
    • His amusement-park vision reflects the power of imagination.
  3. 03. Social inequality

    • The two sides represent privilege versus neglect.
    • Elegant figures symbolize the privileged class.
    • The chessboard represents inequality and the struggle for survival.
  4. 04. Nature as healing

    • Vegetation spreads through the neglected city.
    • Green walls transform façades into living gardens.
    • Nature improves the environment while restoring dignity and connection.
  5. 05. Acupuncture of hope

    • The syringe is the project’s core architectural metaphor.
    • The city is imagined as a living body.
    • Architecture, nature, and empathy work together to restore balance.

Where my ideas begin

For me, moodboards are the first step: a space to collect colors, textures, references, shapes and little details before turning them into a visual direction.

Moodboard with a palm, red Bedouin textile, wooden arch door, lattice and a tea set
Interior moodboard with macramé, timber slats, a patterned rug, a rattan armchair and a woven lamp
Moodboard titled RIWAA with stained glass, a green chair, red armchair, timber slats and a palm

I collect anything that catches my eye: colors, textures, images, shapes, fashion, spaces and little details that inspire me.

Off the clock

  1. 01.

    Fishing

Maria on a boat at sea holding up a large fish, smiling
A 9-year hobby I started with my dad. It became a little tradition I never grew out of.
  2. 02.

    Padel
